Using context aware technologies for food production
As I read about the book "Eat, Cook, Grow, Mixing Human-Computer Interactions with Human-Food Interactions" by the MIT Press, The notion of "context" contains relevance in discussing design approaches to food interaction. The convergence of mobile interfaces with location-aware technology constituted a new artistic media by connecting decontextualised data to analog place, locative media had rhetorically, seemed to promise a recuperation of some of the lost aura associated with mechanical reproduction.
Such content-aware technologies might deepen engagement with place, hence developing the notion of locative media and locative media projects.
Connecting Gen Z to places of food production
During this consultation session which was after formative assessment, research proposal and our Week 8 study week, I was quite stuck on how to develop my prototype further.
